Circuit Swarm was born from a simple question: why isn't there a better way to do this?
Every great product starts with a real problem. For us, it started with a house built in 1952 and a circuit breaker panel full of wrong labels.
It began with a straightforward task: mapping every outlet and light fixture in a 1952 home to its corresponding circuit breaker. The electrical system was a patchwork of decades-old cloth-covered wiring and modern Romex, with panel labels that had long since become inaccurate after years of modifications and amateur repairs.
Using conventional methods, the process took several hours—individually testing each outlet and fixture, toggling breakers, and manually recording the results. Halfway through the job, a question emerged: surely a faster, more efficient solution existed for a task this common. Surprisingly, a thorough search revealed that no such product was available on the market.
Over the next few days, that question evolved into a concept, and that concept became Circuit Swarm. The goal was clear: build a system that allows electricians, IT professionals, and property owners to map an entire building's electrical circuits quickly, accurately, and with minimal effort. What once took hours should take minutes.
